Organizational Change Lead

The Organizational Change Lead is accountable for the planning and delivery of all change management activities within a system deployment or business/technical transformation project.  The role provides governance and oversight and is an active member of the project’s core team.  Depending on the project size, this role could encompass filling a lead role to deliver on a specific area of change management in addition to providing overall governance and project management.

Responsibilities
  • Leads and is accountable for planning and delivering the overall change management body of work
  • Identifying and mapping of key stakeholders, creating overall strategic and tactical communications plan
  • Utilizing available channels such as meetings, message boards, email, video, etc. to deliver messaging
  • Measuring levels of awareness and adoption through surveys/interviews
  • Identifying and mitigating change impacts to the business resulting from the business/technology transformation
  • Establishing and managing a network of change champions
  • Assuring the new processes are clearly understood
  • Establishing a Super User Community for support post-implementation
  • Preparing the business for all cutover and transitional activities
  • Defining/editing clear standard operating procedures
  • Assessing training needs and designing curriculum
  • Creating all training materials
  • Preparing trainers to deliver materials
  • Planning and executing all logistics to deliver training
  • Provides governance, oversight, and adherence to the agreed upon strategy or playbook
  • Acts as primary point of contact for change-related activities with the core project team and extended stakeholders as required
  • Proactively identifies risks and mitigations
  • Facilitates regular meetings with the Business Change team; acts as coach/mentor to team members
  • Tracks and reports status

Skills & Experience
  • Expertise with verbal, written, facilitation, and interpersonal interactions at all levels of a global organization
  • Experience with leading change management efforts for large-scale system implementation projects
  • Experience in stakeholder analysis and development of strategic and tactical communication plans
  • Experience in using multiple communication channels such as email, audio, video, in-person meetings, and online tools
  • Experience in designing and analyzing surveys to gather levels of awareness and adoption of change programs
  • Experience with coaching team members
  • Exposure to various project methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Project to plan and execute activities
  • Exposure to full technology implementation lifecycle – from planning through ramp up and transitioning the business to a steady state
  • Exposure to document control systems
  • Exposure to designing and delivering process and technical training
  • Expertise in following a prescribed playbook and managing team members to deliver accordingly
  • Experience in identifying risks and mitigation planning/execution
  • Exposure to preparing resource models to support projects
  • Experience in business analysis
